The Inglewood Baseball Fund was founded by Erikk Aldridge who is a longtime fixture of the greater Los Angeles baseball community. Erikk grew up in Inglewood and played youth sports at Darby Park, Rogers Park, and Getty Field. He was educated through the Inglewood Unified School district from elementary school through 8th grade before attending Serra High School in Gardena. At Serra, he was a two sport athlete (football and baseball), and went on to play baseball in college at UC San Diego. At UC San Diego, he was named Rookie of the Year and was a team captain.
Professionally, Erikk worked in the front office of the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Dodgers primarily in public relations and community relations. In those jobs, he worked with professional athletes such as Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant, Derek Fisher, Robert Horry, Gary Sheffield, Adrian Beltre, Eric Karros and Dave Roberts to name a few.
He further developed his youth development knowledge and commitment to the community while serving as the Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Venice. He currently serves as VP of Impact for LA28, and is involved with several local nonprofit organizations including Dodgers Dream Team, and serves as a board member on the UC San Diego Athletics Board of Directors.
Erikk has served as a youth baseball coach and mentor through the LA Rockstars Baseball Club, Dodgers RBI, USA Baseball and the MLB Youth Academy in Compton. Over that period, 13 former players have signed professional baseball contracts and over 40 have gone on to play college baseball.
